OUR MISSION

About The Blush Project

The Blush Project is the nation’s first organization working specifically to eradicate sexual harassment in the workplace. We are creating strategic partnerships with corporations, public policy makers, and grass roots organizations for the purpose of educating, training, and addressing sexual harassment in the workplace.

Our Mission

One in every four women have been the subject of unwanted sexual harassment in the workplace.
That’s 18 million of the 72 million women who work outside the home.
Although a large portion of women have had this experience, it is often one of the most lonely, shameful and embarrassing experiences in a women’s professional life. Those who are targeted are often young women who are new to the workplace and vulnerable as they lack seniority. Few actually have the tools necessary to address the issue head on, and of those who do, many remain silent and frozen due to fear. Women targeted by sexual harassment in the workplace are often left emotionally, financially and professionally bankrupt. The Blush Project was created to support, empower, enrich and educate these women by Building Leaders to Uproot Sexual Harassment.
The Blush Project will work with legislators to change laws and corporate leaders to change policies and norms of the American Workplace to reform the American workplace and eradicate workplace sexual harassment.

Our Team

REeSE

The Blush Project was born in Detroit, MI, raised in Chicago, but matured in Washington, DC, the brain- child of Attorney M. Reese Everson. Reese’s business concept is “take the jagged rocks obstructing your path and make them your stepping stones, leaving the road clearer for those traveling behind you.”
After being targeted by sexual harassment and retaliation on Capitol Hill, while working for the U.S. Congress, Reese realized that young women often lack the tools for successfully navigating sexual harassment and gender discrimination in the workplace. Further, there were few support systems and safe spaces to learn how to be entrepreneurially-minded as an employee. Even more, there were not enough resources to teach young women how to max out their experiences while employees then utilize them while building their own empires. She decided to create a manual for young women in the workplace to address sexual harassment while maintaining their integrity.
M. Reese Everson is a tireless advocate for young women, committed to helping them to and their voice and showing them how walk in their purpose, uncompromised. While serving as Advocate in Chief, she travels the globe as a Women’s Rights Expert, Lifestyle Engineer, author, and speaker.
Prior to launching the Blush Project, M. Reese Everson’s proven legal expertise propelled her to be chosen to serve as legislative staff to some of the most senior elected members of the United States Congress. It was there that she realized a need, and set out to fill it. As a native Detroiter, M. Reese Everson is an urban Renaissance women, driven to make her mark on the world. Now she has returned to her first love of serving through advocacy, and giving back to young women like herself.
